If you're locked out of your LPL Financial AccountView, here’s what you can do:

Step-by-Step: Recover Access to LPL AccountView

  1. Go to the AccountView login page:
  2. Click “Forgot Password?”
    • Enter your username or registered email.
    • You’ll receive instructions to reset your password.
  3. Still Locked Out?
    • If the system says your account is locked due to too many failed attempts, you will need to contact LPL support or your financial advisor to unlock it manually.
  4. Contact LPL Technical Support:
    • Phone: 800-877-7210 (LPL Client Services)
    • Hours: Monday–Friday, typically 8 AM – 8 PM EST
    • Have your account info ready (but don’t share it in public).
  5. Or Contact Your Financial Advisor:
    • If you work with a financial advisor, they can help reset your AccountView access.
I have misplaced my tax documents, where can I find them?

How to Access LPL AccountView Tax Documents

  1. Go to the AccountView Portal
  2. Log in to Your Account
    • Enter your username and password.
    • If you haven't registered, you can select “Sign Up” or contact your advisor for an invite.
  3. Navigate to Tax Documents
    • Once logged in, go to the Documents or Statements & Tax Documents section.
    • Select the appropriate tax year.
    • Look for forms such as:
      • 1099 Composite
      • 1099-R (if applicable)
      • 1042-S (for non-resident accounts)
      • Year-End Summary
  4. Download or Print
    • Click to view/download the PDF versions for your records or to share with your tax preparer.

How to Navigate AccountView as an LPL Client

  2. Log In:
    • Enter your username and password.
    • If you don’t have login credentials yet, contact your advisor to get your account set up.
  3. Dashboard Overview:
    • After logging in, you’ll land on a dashboard showing an overview of your accounts.
    • This typically includes account balances, recent transactions, holdings, and performance.
  4. Navigation Menu:
    • Look for a navigation panel or menu (usually on the left or top).
    • Common sections include:
      • Accounts — to view details of each account you hold.
      • Performance — charts and reports on how your investments have performed.
      • Documents — statements, tax documents, and reports.
      • Transactions — recent trades, deposits, or withdrawals.
      • Messages or Communication — for messages from your advisor.
  5. Viewing Specific Account Information:
    • Click on an account name or number to see more detailed info such as:
      • Asset allocation
      • Positions
      • Recent activity
      • Account statements (downloadable PDFs)
  6. Generate Reports or Statements:
    • In the Documents or Reports section, you can often generate or download statements and tax documents.
  7. Security Settings:
    • You can update your password, set up two-factor authentication, or manage alerts.

  1. Download the App:
    • For iOS: Open the App Store, search for “AccountView 2.0”, and install.
    • For Android: Open Google Play Store, search “AccountView 2.0”, and install.
  2. Open the App:
    • Launch the app on your device.
  3. Log In:
    • Enter the username and password provided by your LPL advisor.
    • If you don’t have credentials, contact your advisor to set up access.
  4. Navigate the App:
    • Dashboard: View your account summaries and recent activity.
    • Accounts: Check detailed balances and holdings.
    • Documents: Access statements, tax forms, and reports.
    • Performance: Review portfolio performance charts.
    • Messages: Communicate with your advisor if available.

What are your fees?

Fees for investment advisory services are based on the size of the portfolio being managed and are as follows:

  • Up to $999,999: 1.5% annually
  • $1,000,000 to $1,999,999: 1.25% annually
  • $2,000,000 to 5,000,000: 1.00% annually
  • $5,000,001 or more: 0.75% annually

Fees for financial planning services are based on the estimated amount of time needed to complete the project. Fees range from $3,000 to $10,000 for this service.
